I’m not going to say anything in-depth about the VShred workouts, other than that it’s a well-known fact that Vince seems to be roundly reviled in the bodybuilding/weight lifting community. Vince was a fitness model before he got involved with VShred, but now his job title has somehow morphed into ‘celebrity fitness trainer,’ even though many, many, MANY actual fitness trainers will tell you that Vince often demonstrates poor form and some of the exercises he gives out may be potentially harmful. Someone needs to tell Vince that it’s gross AND dangerous to cook without a shirt.
Here’s a screenshot of Vince meal-prepping…without a shirt. The face of VShred is a guy named Vince Sant, who has a lot of muscles and rarely wears a shirt. VShred is a nutrition and fitness company. When legit professionals are all in agreement with how sh*t a company is, we should really listen. There are also a sh*t-ton of YouTube videos from legit bodybuilders explaining why VShred may be a scam, and Ben Carpenter, whose content I adore, has taken them on a few times on his Reels. Not only my followers, but also on the Better Business Bureau website, where VShred has a 2.12/5 rating and 424 complaints in the last 3 years. Needless to say, a LOT of people do not like VShred. People started DM’ing me with their experiences, their personal VShred meal plans, screenshots of conversations with their coaches, all sorts of VShred emails and PDFs…it was nuts. Be prepared to count high!Īs part of my research on VShred, I put out a call on my Facebook page for anyone who had ever been on the program. I’m also marking off all the red flags for you to count up. There’s so much content, so many dark corners, and there’s also the whole thing of the company behind VShred (sketchy AF, I’m not even going to go there in detail).įor this VShred review, I’ve tried to limit myself to what I consider to be the most important things about the program. It’s like jumping into a rabbit hole and getting lost in there for weeks. So yeah, thanks to my friend for lighting a fire under me – I’m sure a lot of people are going to benefit from her almost-mistake! Just telling her not to do VShred wasn’t going to be enough – I needed the come up with all the reasons why. She told me that she had watched a Vince Sant video and said, ‘he seems to say the right things,’ which made my hair stand on end. It wasn’t until an old friend of mine recently sent me the VShred link and said she was considering doing this program for weight loss, that I jumped into action. I’ve always had requests to do a VShred review, but I’ve never really been interested because it meant that I was going to have to watch their crazy videos and subject myself to their marketing and ads, and I just didn’t want to deal with that.
